New Friends! Cool Temps! Great Food! Hello Minnesota!
We flew out to meet some friends in Hibbing! Early flight out Michigan to the Cities then onto Duluth
Late summer early fall time is the best time! We met a lot of great people ate a lot of great food and I experienced my first seafood boil!
If you ever find yourself in Northern Minnesota it has much to offer 🙂
AIRPORT MEAL ALERT!
I think I had the best breakfast I’ve had in a LONG time at the Twins Grill – I stop there every time I fly into the Cities

Quinoa Breakfast Bowl with Scrambled Eggs – First experience with quinoa and it was BOMB. Quinoa, sauteed spinach and mushrooms, 2 scrambled eggs, roasted red peppers, cotija cheese and balsamic glaze

WE HAVE ARRIVED
First up we stopped at the local watering hole The Thirsty Moose! Had an amazing Reuben sandwich and got some swag as well. It’s a must stop if you’re in the area and the owner was pretty cool too.

Our lovely friends cooked amazing meals for us all weekend. Great Food – Great Drinks – Great Friends – is there anything better?
First night we had killer tacos and homemade Pico – Shout out to Pat! Found my new favorite taco seasoning and hot sauce!

Night numba two! Star of the show was locally sourced ribeye steaks! Smoked then finished on the grill. Accompanied by air fried baby potatoes with a peppercorn cream sauce and grilled asparagus. Can’t forget the simple but oh so so good bread and olive oil. Add on a couple bottles of Pinot and Cab Sauvi and you have one unforgettable meal.

We did have probably some of the best pizza I’ve ever had one night after an intense game of Cards Against Humanity. Each little slice had a its own miniature sausage ball on it = fucking good.

Our last full day in beautiful Hibbing – weather was awesome: nice crisp sunny day. CRAB BOIL
In our travels of Hibbing I found out what a Sarma is – basically a cabbage roll but it also has ham in it. I can get on board with that
As always Minnesota never disappoints, one of my favorite places to go
Peace!
