Three words…….ICE…..FISH……MINNESOTA!!!!

Drove 9 hours and 41 minutes to have the ice fishing experience of a life time!

Stayed out on Gull Lake in a Fish House for 3 days. Props to Jeremy at IceFishMN.com he runs an awesome business out here and will take great care of you! Definitely book with him! If you’re looking to get on some monster walleyes book right after the new year. We seen Walleye, Perch, Crappie, and Pike on our trip. We brought all the necessities and food so we really didn’t need to leave unless we wanted to.

I’d like to give props to my bro for being featured here (he was the master angler I just caught a picture with it!) Star of the show…..27incher 9 pounder Walleye. IT’S A BEAUT CLARK

This was our little pad out on the ice! Coldest shitter I’ve ever been in I can assure you that!

You can definitely cook in these and we had one cooked meal monday morning – can’t go wrong with a good camp breakfast. We had sandwich and snack shit for the rest of the time. Shout out to Chuck Paa for the mega box of cosmic brownies.

We stayed in the Firebrand house (sleeps 4 comfortably fo sho)

There is a little place right where you get on the ice called Ernie’s on Gull – FABULOUS FOOD. Great staff, great atmosphere and the bathroom was cool too so there’s that.

  1. Cast Iron Baked Fontina (TO DIE FOR) – Danish fontina cheese, toasted baguette, champagne grapes, brandied figs, honeycomb, lingonberry jam, balsamic glaze, and spiced pecans
  2. Hot Turkey Commercial – smoked turkey breast, homemade gravy, mashed potato, and sourdough toast. This was definitely comfort food and they did not disappoint!
  3. Cast Iron French Onion Meatballs – Venison meatballs (shoutout waawaashkeshi on the menu!) provolone cheese, French onion soup, and crostini.
  4. Busch Light Draft – God bless the state of Minnesota….draft latte is everywhere 100/100 recommend.

Stopped at a cool little spot out by the highway – The Side Track https://www.igotsidetrackedbrainerd.com/

Cool place, lots of drink options, food was fantastic. Play the cardboard cocaine – its Minnesota you can play it in the gas station if you want! I did not get a picture I was probably starving but I got the mushroom and swiss burger with fried onions and they know what they are doing.

Lunch Menu below 🙂

We will be going again for sure even if it was cold as fuck…..I had a blast.

Thank you Minnesota for showing us Yoopers a good time.
